プーケットの津波被害 |

プーケット、クルーズセンターのマネージャー、Mr. Adulからのメールが入りました。現地は大変な状況で船も失ったようです。
Dear All,
Thank you very much for all your anxiety. We, at Cruise Center, are all
safe.
The Tsunami attacked Phuket on 26 DEC 2004 at 09.12 from the South West
direction. The wave is around 10 metres high on the western beaches ;
Patong - Kata - Karon.
On the other side of Phuket at Chalong Bay where we anchored the boats the
tsunami is only 3 metres high but very powerful. Around 40 boats were
immediately destroy and sunked, including Isabella.
Yesterday until this morning we are all very busy in helping to save life of
people who were trapped under the destruction house along the beaches. Lots
of people are already dead and many are in serious injured.
The attacking of Tsunami is not only at Phuket but stretch along the western
coast of Thailand along the Andaman Sea.
